Esta tem sido relacionada, principalmente, a características discentes preditoras; alterações curriculares poderiam reverter as taxas atuais. Nesse contexto, estudantes têm sido considerados como categoria única, homogeneizada pelo vestibular. Na Universidade de São Paulo, por exemplo, os estudantes são tratados por alunos USP. A fim de verificar os perfis de ingressantes dos cursos de Engenharia, Odontologia e Pedagogia, comparamos qualitativamente respostas ao questionário do Manual da FUVEST de 2007 a 2009. Os resultados indicaram perfis diversos que deveriam ser considerados em mudanças curriculares que visem a melhoria do Ensino Superior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The expansion of Higher Education was followed by dropout increase. This was related, mostly, to predictors characteristics of students; curricular changes would revert the current rates. In this context, students have been considered as a unique category, homogenized by the selective process. At University of São Paulo, e.g., the students are treated by USPs students. In order to verify the profiles of freshmen in Engineer, Dentistry and Pedagogy, we compared qualitatively the answers to the questionnaire of Manual da FUVEST from 2007 to 2009. The results indicated several profiles which would be essential in the curricular changes in Higher Education.]]></p></abstract>
