Aimed to evaluate the heuristic potential of writing about one s self for reflection on professional identity, many assumed that the choice of teaching as something natural or not questioned. The biographization allowed awareness of the process of identity formation. Some aspects were highlighted: surprise, endurance and enchantment on the biographical approach, recognizing the formative dimension of narrative about one s self and the difficulty in selecting the most significant experiences and identifying the formative experiences.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O presente artigo resultou de uma pesquisa colaborativa, realizada no Curso de Pedagogia semipresencial da Universidade Federal do Cear&#225;, nas disciplinas Semin&#225;rio Integrador I e II. Objetivou avaliar o potencial heur&#237;stico da escrita de si para a reflex&#227;o sobre a identidade profissional docente. Muitos assumiram que tomavam a escolha docente como algo natural ou desproblematizado. A biografiza&#231;&#227;o permitiu a tomada de consci&#234;ncia da processualidade da forma&#231;&#227;o identit&#225;ria. Alguns aspectos foram ressaltados: surpresa, resist&#234;ncia e encantamento diante da abordagem biogr&#225;fica; reconhecimento da dimens&#227;o formadora da narrativa de si e da dificuldade em selecionar as viv&#234;ncias mais significativas, identificando as experi&#234;ncias formadoras.]]></p></abstract>
