El proyecto de ley fue resistido por gran parte del profesorado del sector público y por un grupo académicos progresistas, en general, debido a que dicha política pública formaba parte de la estrategia neoliberal, a pesar de ser promovida por un gobierno de centroizquierda. Un aspecto clave fue el reconocer la estructura argumentativa que nos habla de la existencia de una crisis, de los culpables y de las soluciones, principalmente, en la prensa, lo que repercutió en la discusión parlamentaria. La investigación se orientó por un posicionamiento epistemológico crítico-analítico. El análisis de fuentes se llevó a cabo a través de la metodología de análisis documental y el análisis crítico del contenido.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The research critically analyzed the Teacher Professional Development System in Chile. The bill was resisted by a large part of the public sector teaching staff and by a group of progressive academics, in general, because such public policy was part of the neoliberal strategy, despite being promoted by a center-left government. A key aspect was to recognize the argumentative structure that tells us about the existence of a crisis, the culprits, and the solutions, mainly in the press, which had repercussions in the parliamentary discussion.The research was guided by a critical-analytical epistemological position. The analysis of sources was carried out through the methodology of documentary analysis and critical content analysis.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: A pesquisa analisou criticamente o Sistema de Desenvolvimento Profissional Docente no Chile. O projeto de lei foi resistido por uma grande parte da profissão docente do setor público e por um grupo de acadêmicos progressistas em geral, com o argumento de que tal política pública era parte da estratégia neoliberal, apesar de ser promovida por um governo de centro-esquerda. Um aspecto chave foi reconhecer a estrutura argumentativa que nos fala da existência de uma crise, dos culpados e das soluções, principalmente, na imprensa, refletindo na discussão no parlamento. A pesquisa foi guiada por uma postura epistemológica crítica-analítica.
