Quais políticas educativas podem permitir uma integração harmoniosa desses adultos com pouca ou nenhuma formação acadêmica e, sobretudo, quais as motivações, obstáculos e recursos destes adultos que regressam aos estudos (Carré, 2020)? Existe aqui um verdadeiro desafio na luta contra o determinismo social e uma possibilidade de assumir plenamente o papel social emancipatório do ensino superior. Por meio de uma série de entrevistas e questionários com mais de sessenta adultos que regressam ao ensino superior na Bélgica francófona, iremos destacar as ocorrências e as recorrências nos discursos, assim como dados para entender os tipos de recursos utilizados, as motivações, os obstáculos e a importância das políticas educacionais para esse público específico devido à sua alteridade e às suas particularidades. Por fim, destacamos o modelo de formação mais adequado às necessidades e expectativas dos adultos que regressam ao ensino superior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aims to discuss the problem of adults undergoing professional change. What educational policies can allow for the harmonious integration of these adults with little or no academic training and, above all, what are the motivations, obstacles and resources of these adults returning to studies (Carré, 2020)? There is a real challenge here in the fight against social determinism and a possibility of fully assuming the emancipatory social role of higher education. Through a series of interviews and questionnaires with more than sixty adults returning to higher education in French-speaking Belgium, we will highlight occurrences and recurrences in discourses, as well as data to understand the types of resources used, motivations, obstacles and the importance of educational policies for this specific audience due to their alterity and particularities. Finally, we highlight the training model most suited to the needs and expectations of adults returning to higher education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé Le présent article vise à discuter la problématique des adultes en mutation professionnelle. Quelles politiques éducatives peuvent permettre une insertion harmonieuse de ces adultes peu ou pas diplômés et surtout, quels sont les motivations, freins et atouts de ces adultes en reprise d&#8217;études supérieurs (Carré, 2020) ? Il y a ici un réel enjeu de lutte contre le déterminisme social et une possibilité d&#8217;assumer pleinement le rôle d&#8217;émancipateur social de l&#8217;enseignement supérieur. À travers une série d&#8217;entretien et des questionnaires sur plus d&#8217;une soixantaine d&#8217;adultes en reprises d&#8217;étude en Belgique francophone sur trois institutions d&#8217;enseignement supérieur, nous allons souligner les occurrences et les récurrences dans les discours et les données pour envisager les atouts, les motivations, les freins et l&#8217;importance des politiques éducatives pour ce public spécifique de par son altérité et ses particularités. Nous soulignons finalement le modèle de formation le plus adapté aux besoins et aux attentes des adultes en reprise de formation.]]></p></abstract>
