O estudo utiliza documentos legislativos e entrevistas realizadas com os/as diretores/as e os/as pedagogos/as das escolas-piloto, submetidas à análise de conteúdo. Conclui-se que a implantação no ES está em consonância com os princípios da reforma articulada aos mecanismos próprios da nova governamentabilidade neoliberal em ação, pois produz: responsabilização individualizada dos/as estudantes na sua trajetória escolar e adaptação ao novo modelo por meio do Projeto de Vida; redução da autonomia docente; flexibilização e desvalorização do trabalho docente transformando o fazer pedagógico em fazer administrativo e altruísmo dos/as gestores/as aos moldes do sistema privado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article analyzes the implementation of the New high School (NEM) in eight pilot schools of the state education system of Espírito Santo (ES). The study uses legislative documents and interviews with the directors and the pedagogues of the pilot schools, submitted to content analysis. It is concluded that the implementation in ES is in line with the principles of the reform articulated to the mechanisms of the new neoliberal governance in action, since it produces: individualized accountability of students in their school trajectory and adaptation to the new model through the Life Proyect; reduction of teaching autonomy; flexibilization and devaluation of teaching work transforming pedagogical work into administrative and altruism of managers in the style of the private system.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo analiza la implementación de la Nueva Escuela Secundaria (NEM) en ocho escuelas piloto del sistema educativo estatal de Espírito Santo (ES). El estudio utiliza documentos legislativos y entrevistas con los/las diretores/as y los/las pedagogos/as de las escuelas piloto, sometidos a análisis de contenido. Se concluye que la implementación en ES está en línea con los principios de la reforma articulados a los mecanismos de la nueva gobernanza neoliberal en acción, pues produce: rendición de cuentas individualizada de los/las estudiantes en su trayectoria escolar y adaptación al nuevo modelo a través del Proyecto de Vida; reducción de la autonomía docente; flexibilización y desvalorización del trabajo docente transformando el trabajo pedagógico en administrativo y altruismo de los/las directivos/as al estilo del sistema privado.]]></p></abstract>
