Adorno vislumbra no ensaio a possibilidade de se pensar aspectos do objeto os quais foram, de modo coercitivo, negados pelo car&#225;ter identit&#225;rio da raz&#227;o. O nosso objetivo neste artigo foi pensar a import&#226;ncia do ensaio para a filosofia da educa&#231;&#227;o enquanto um modo de reflex&#227;o sobre e na educa&#231;&#227;o. O ensaio, nos termos adornianos, nos instiga a p&#244;r em d&#250;vida valores, cren&#231;as e estere&#243;tipos que limitam nossa experi&#234;ncia educativa, ao mesmo tempo em que nos possibilita resgatar nela o que foi esquecido pela raz&#227;o, pelos saberes e pelas pr&#225;ticas pedag&#243;gicas, na atualidade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In &#8220;Essay as Form&#8221;, Theodor Adorno criticizes the dominant philosophical thinking that, by different means, claims understanding the reality as a whole, in which the universal nature of the concept nullifies the singularity of the object. Adorno considers the essay as a possibility of thinking about aspects of the object that were, coercively, denied by the identity nature of reason. Our aim in this article is to reflect on the importance of the essay in philosophy of education as a way of reflection on education. The essay, in adornian terms, encourages us to question values, believes, and stereotypes that restrain our educational experience, and at the same time, it enable us to retrieve, within such experience, what has been forgotten by reason, by knowledge, and by pedagogical practices of the present days.]]></p></abstract>
