Esta pesquisa se justifica pela necessidade de ampliar a produção acerca da temática, especialmente no que tange aos pequenos municípios brasileiros, distantes das capitais, considerando a carência de análises a esse respeito. Para isso, esta investigação se fundamenta na coleta de narrativas de gestoras escolares, com base na abordagem teórica e metodológica do estudo de caso, a partir de questionários contendo questões semiestruturadas. Ao realizar esta pesquisa focando a aplicação da lei de gestão escolar democrática, o processo levou, por exemplo, a estabelecer relações dialógicas com gestoras escolares em atuação, bem como a inteirar-se dos desafios e das realidades distintas, da falta de efetivo conhecimento sobre a legislação e então da não plena aplicação desta em âmbito municipal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article proposes a reflection on the democratic school management and challenges of the interpretation and use of legislation in public schools from Caiçara town, in Rio Grande do Sul, under the guidance, maintenance, and management of the Brazilian Educational City Office. This research was carried out due to the need of expanding the production regarding the theme, mainly in Brazilian cities far from the capitals, given the lack of analyses about it. To do so, this investigation collected narratives from school managers, based on the theoretical and methodological approach of the case study, using questionnaires that applied semi-structured questions. By focusing this research on the democratic school management law, the process, for nstance, enabled us to establish dialogical relationships with working school managers, as well as deepen our knowledge of the different challenges and realities, of the lack of effective knowledge on laws and lack of its full use in the city scope.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo propone una reflexión sobre la gestión escolar democrática y los desafios de la interpretación y aplicación de la legislación en escuelas de la red municipal de Caiçara, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, bajo la orientación, manutención y gestión de la Secretaría Municipal de Educación. Esta investigación se justifica a partir de la necesidad de ampliar la producción sobre el tema, especialmente en lo que se refiere a los municipios brasileños, lejos de las capitales, considerando la falta de análisis al respecto. Para tanto, esta investigación se basa en la recolección de narrativas de gestoras escolares, a partir del abordaje teórico y metodológico del estudio de caso, teniendo como punto de partida cuestionarios con preguntas semiestructuradas. Al realizar esta investigación centrándose en la aplicación de la ley de gestión escolar democrática, el proceso llevó, por ejemplo, a establecer relaciones dialógicas con gestoras escolares en acción, así como a conocer mejor los desafios y las diferentes realidades, el escaso conocimiento efectivo de la legislación y la falta de aplicación plena de esta legislación a nive municipal.]]></p></abstract>
