Desde uma perspectiva afrocêntrica, a contestação ao racismo, à discriminação e ao eurocentrismo é elemento fundante, assim como a valorização das culturas e dos saberes constituídos em experiências diaspóricas. Nesse sentido, o prefixo &#8220;afro&#8221;, em &#8220;afrocentricidade&#8221;, não remete a penas ao continente africano, em si, mas também ao fluxo de negros e negras ao redor do mundo, o que foi denominado de diáspora negra. Inserida no contexto das lutas antirracistas, no Brasil, a plataforma digital Geledés é o ponto de partida para a construção do presente estudo e é tomada como espaço afrocentrado onde se entretecem diferentes pontos de vista, por meio de imagens, textos, documentos, manifestações, criações, posicionamentos. Fundado em 30 de abril de 1988, o Geledés atua em diferentes dimensões, com o propósito central de empoderamento e reforço de narrativas negras. No recorte proposto neste artigo, foram selecionadas 10 cartas publicadas entre os anos de 2020 e 2023, e o objetivo principal é discutir de que modo se insere uma perspectiva afrocentrada em um universo amplo de produção de sentidos e de afetividades constituído nas cartas. A metodologia, de viés qualitativo, envolveu a análise discursiva das cartas selecionadas, considerando, de modo especial, a ancestralidade e o centramento na experiência da diáspora, a valorização da agência e das perspectivas negras, a contestação ao eurocentrismo e a denúncia e a luta contra o racismo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Thinking about pedagogical practices from an Afro-centered perspective means challenging centuries of cultural experiences that have supported knowledge located in the global north and naturalized the image of the white European man both as a producer of socially validated knowledge and as responsible for it. From an Afrocentric perspective, challenging racism, discrimination, and Eurocentrism is a founding element, as is the valorization of cultures and knowledge constituted in diasporic experiences. In this sense, the prefix &#8220;afro&#8221;, in &#8220;afrocentricity&#8221;, not only refers to the African continent itself, but also to the flow of black men and women around the world, which has been labelled as the African diaspora. In the context of anti-racist struggles in Brazil, Geledés digital platform is the starting point of this study and is regarded as an Afrocentered space where different points of view are intertwined through images, texts, documents, demonstrations, creations, positions. Founded on April 30,1988, Geledés has operated in different dimensions, with the central purpose of empowering and reinforcing black narratives. In this article, 10 letters published between 2020 and 2023 were selected, and the main aim is to discuss how an Afro-centered perspective is inscribed in the broad universe of production of meanings and affections in the letters. The methodology, with a qualitative approach, involved the discursive analysis of the selected letters, particularly considering the ancestry and focus on the experience of the diaspora, the valorization of agency and black perspectives, the challenge to Eurocentrism, and the denunciation and struggle against racism.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Pensar las prácticas pedagógicas desde una perspectiva afrocéntrica es cuestionar siglos de experiencias culturales que respaldan los saberes localizados en el norte global y que naturalizan la imagen del hombre bianco europeo como productory responsable del conocimiento socialmente validado. Desde una perspectiva afrocéntrica, impugnarei racismo, la discriminación y el eurocentrismo es un elemento fundamental, al igual que la valoración de las culturas y de los conocimientos así como la valoración de culturas y conocimientos constituídos en experiencias diaspóricas. En este sentido, el prefijo &#8220;afro&#8221;, en &#8220;afrocentricidad&#8221;, no sólo se refiere al propio continente africano, sino también al flujo de hombres y mujeres negros alrededor del mundo, lo que se llamó de diáspora africana. Insertada en el contexto de las luchas antirracistas en Brasil, la plataforma digital Geledés es el punto de partida para la construcción de este estudio y es tomada como espacio afrocéntrico donde se entrelazan diferentes puntos de vista, a través de imágenes, textos, documentos, manifestaciones, creaciones, posturas. Fundada el 30 de abril de 1988, Geledés opera en diferentes dimensiones, con el propósito central de empoderamiento y refuerzo de las narrativas negras. En el apartado propuesto en este artículo se seleccionaron 10 cartas publicadas entre 2020 y 2023, y el objetivo principal es discutir cómo una perspectiva afrocéntrica se inscribe en un amplio universo de producción de significados y afectos constituídos en las cartas. La metodologia, con sesgo cualitativo, involucró el análisis discursivo de las cartas seleccionadas, considerando, en particular, la ancestralidad y la centralización en la experiencia de la diáspora, la valorización de la agencia y de las perspectivas negras, el desafío al eurocentrismo y la denuncia y lucha contra el racismo.]]></p></abstract>
