Com foco na geração dos Millenials, realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória através do método survey com estudantes de graduação de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior Federal no Brasil. Em ordem de importância, nos resultados, os estudantes apontaram o professor facilitar o processo educativo, estimular o pensamento crítico dos estudantes e a promoção de um ambiente dinâmico para o ensino-aprendizagem como competências primordiais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the study is to identify the main competencies of the teacher in higher education. Focusing on the Millennial generation, exploratory research was carried out through the survey method with undergraduate students of a Federal Higher Education Institution in Brazil. In order of importance, in the results, the students pointed out the teacher facilitating the educational process, stimulating critical thinking in students, and promoting a dynamic environment for teaching-learning as primary competencies.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo del estudio es identificar las principales competencias del profesor en la enseñanza superior. Centrándose en la generación Millenials, se realizó una investigación exploratoria a través del método de la encuesta con estudiantes de pregrado de una Institución Federal de Educación Superior en Brasil. Por orden de importancia, en los resultados, los alumnos señalaron como competencias principales el hecho de que el profesor facilite el proceso educativo, estimule el pensamiento crítico de los alumnos y la promoción de un entorno dinámico para la enseñanza-aprendizaje.]]></p></abstract>
