By focusing on communication within specific domains or professional contexts, English for Specific Purposes equips students with reading skills in order to succeed in their chosen fields. The use of translation activities to improve reading skills is an interesting approach. Understanding the current state of English for Specific Purposes classes at University of Khanh Hoa is a crucial step to have valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the existing approach, allowing for targeted improvements. The investigation of students’ needs and learning orientation through questions and active listening is the major aim which helps tailor the translation activities appropriately. Personalization is key to effective language learning, and this approach likely yields positive results. The planned experiment to assess the impact of translation activities on students’ English reading skills provides empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the research methodology. By comparing the results of the experiment with those of the control group, the authors can measure the success of the approach and identify areas for further refinement. Assessing student satisfaction and the benefits they perceive from the translation activities is essential for gauging the overall success of English for Specific Purposes classes. High levels of satisfaction indicate engagement and a positive learning experience while students’ perceptions of the benefits they gain can help promote the approach to other potential learners. The research therefore addresses a critical aspect of language learning, and its findings can contribute significantly to the field of English for Specific Purposes. By focusing on reading skills within specific contexts, the approach aligns well with the real-world needs of students and has implications for language learners at University of Khanh Hoa and beyond.
</abstract>

</abstract>
