Utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa, analisamos um projeto desenvolvido por alunos e professores de Matemática do Programa Residência Pedagógica, o qual aplicava conceitos matemáticos em contextos financeiros práticos. O estudo destaca como a ABP pode integrar conhecimento acadêmico a situações do cotidiano, fomentando Literacia Financeira e capacidades decisórias nos alunos. Os resultados sugerem que a EFE, apoiada por metodologias ativas, deveria ser mais incorporada ao currículo escolar, devido ao seu potencial em preparar jovens para decisões financeiras responsáveis.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article investigates the importance of School Financial Education (SFE) in shaping individuals who are conscious and capable of making responsible financial decisions, through Project-Based Learning (PBL). Utilizing a qualitative approach, we analyze a project developed by students and mathematics teachers of the Pedagogical Residency Program, which applied mathematical concepts in practical financial contexts. The study highlights how PBL can integrate academic knowledge into everyday situations, fostering Financial Literacy and decision-making skills in students. The results suggest that SFE, supported by active methodologies, should be more incorporated into the school curriculum, due to its potential to prepare young people for responsible financial decisions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo investiga la importancia de la Educación Financiera Escolar (EFE) en la formación de individuos conscientes y capaces de tomar decisiones financieras responsables, a través del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP). Utilizando un enfoque cualitativo, analizamos un proyecto desarrollado por estudiantes y profesores de matemáticas del Programa de Residencia Pedagógica, que aplicaba conceptos matemáticos en contextos financieros prácticos. El estudio destaca cómo el ABP puede integrar el conocimiento académico en situaciones cotidianas, fomentando la Alfabetización Financiera y las habilidades de toma de decisiones en los estudiantes.
