O objetivo deste artigo é discutir a interação e sociabilidade entre crianças brasileiras e haitianas (3 a 6 anos) em Núcleos de Educação Infantil (NEIs). A pesquisa, qualitativa, fez uso de técnicas da etnografia (notadamente a observação participante) para a geração de dados junto a crianças haitianas e brasileiras, adultos haitianos, e docentes de dois NEIs do Município de Balneário Camboriú (SC). Os dados também foram gerados através de conversas com crianças e adultos, e por meio de um livro de história sobre a migração haitiana, de autoria da pesquisadora (com a participação das crianças como ilustradoras). As observações foram registradas em diário de campo e foram realizados registros fotográficos do cotidiano escolar. A investigação foi fundamentada nos Estudos Sociais da Infância, que reconhecem a criança como ator social de pleno direito e produtora de cultura, e nos estudos das relações étnico-raciais, que evidenciam as desigualdades entre crianças pertencentes a diferentes grupos étnicos raciais. Diferentemente de outras pesquisas, não foram observados comportamentos discriminatórios de teor racista entre as crianças nas instituições investigadas; pelo contrário, foram percebidos laços de amizade infantil construídos no cotidiano escolar de contexto migratório, onde as crianças haitianas se destacavam pelo protagonismo e liderança exercidos nas interações entre pares. Algumas hipóteses sobre a ocorrência dessa diferença para outras pesquisas são levantadas no interior do artigo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT As child migration is a growing phenomenon today, it is necessary to reflect on the insertion of migrant children in educational institutions as a way to guarantee their rights. The aim of this article is to discuss the interaction and sociability between Brazilian and Haitian children (3 to 6 years) in Early Childhood Education Centers (NEIs). The research, qualitative, made use of techniques of ethnography (notably the participating observation) for the generation of data with Haitian and Brazilian children, Haitian adults, and teachers of two NEIs of the Municipality of Balneário Camboriú (SC). The data were also generated through conversations with children and adults, and through a history book on Haitian migration, by the researcher (with the participation of children as illustrators). The observations were recorded in a field diary and photographic records of school daily life were made. The research was based on the Social Studies of Childhood, which recognize the child as a full-fledged social actor and producer of culture, and the studies of ethno-racial relations, which highlight the inequalities between children belonging to different racial ethnic groups. Unlike other research, no discriminatory behaviour of racist content was observed among children in the investigated institutions; on the contrary, children's friendships were perceived built in the school every day of a migratory context, where Haitian children stood out for the protagonism, and leadership exercised in peer interactions. Some hypotheses about the occurrence of this difference for other research are raised inside the article.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Siendo la migración infantil un fenómeno creciente en la actualidad, es necesario reflexionar sobre la inserción de niños migrantes en instituciones educativas, como forma de garantizar sus derechos. El objetivo de este artículo es discutir la interacción y sociabilidad entre niños brasileños y haitianos (3 a 6 años) en Núcleos de Educación Infantil (NEIs). La investigación, cualitativa, hizo uso de técnicas de la etnografía (notablemente la observación participante) para la generación de datos junto a niños haitianos y brasileños, adultos haitianos, y docentes de dos NEI del Municipio de Balneário Camboriú (SC). Los datos también se generaron a través de conversaciones con niños y adultos, y mediante un libro de historia sobre la migración haitiana, de autoría de la investigadora (con la participación de los niños como ilustradoras). Las observaciones fueron registradas en diario de campo y se realizaron registros fotográficos del cotidiano escolar. La investigación se ha fundamentado en los Estudios Sociales de la Infancia, que reconocen al niño como actor social de pleno derecho y productor de cultura, y en los estudios de las relaciones étnico-raciales, que evidencian las desigualdades entre niños pertenecientes a diferentes grupos étnicos raciales. A diferencia de otras investigaciones, no se observaron comportamientos discriminatorios de contenido racista entre los niños en las instituciones investigadas; por el contrario, se percibieron lazos de amistad infantil construidos en el cotidiano escolar de contexto migratorio, donde los niños haitianos se destacaban por el protagonismo y liderazgo ejercidos en las interacciones entre pares. Algunas hipótesis sobre la ocurrencia de esta diferencia para otras investigaciones se plantean en el interior del artículo.]]></p></abstract>
