Tal problematização dialoga e fundamenta-se na perspectiva de estudos da teoria das Representações Sociais. No caso do estudo aqui realizado, abordamos que as representações sociais ou os sentidos atribuídos a um dado objeto por determinado grupo de sujeitos expressam tanto as informações circulantes acerca desse objeto, as condições de filtragem dessas informações, às experiências relativas ao grupo, as condições sociais e culturais desse grupo e suas relações com os que lhes são próximos ou distantes. Assim, eles retratam fidedignamente as realidades de acordo com valores e normas de determinados grupos, expressam as contradições e as compressões de seus pares. Para isso, adotou-se uma abordagem plurimetodológica, associando observação, entrevista, teste de evocação livre de palavras e teste do núcleo central. Como resultado, os professores reconhecem o insucesso escolar de seus alunos e projetam a responsabilidade na família.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study consists of knowing the Social Representations that teachers of the first segment of Elementary School in private schools in the interior of the State of Rio de Janeiro attribute to school failure. Such problematization dialogues and is based on the perspective of studies of the theory of Social Representations. In the case of the present study, we address that the social representations or meanings attributed to a given object by a certain group of subjects express both the circulating information about this object, the conditions of filtering this information, the experiences related to the group, the social and cultural conditions of this group and their relations with those who are close or distant to them. Thus, they faithfully portray the realities according to the values and norms of certain groups, express the contradictions and compressions of their peers. To this end, a multi-methodological approach was adopted, associating observation, interviews, wordfree recall test, and central core test. As a result, teachers recognize their students' school failure and project responsibility onto the family.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este estudio consiste en comprender las Representaciones Sociales que docentes del primer segmento de Educación Básica de escuelas privadas del interior del Estado de Río de Janeiro atribuyen al fracaso escolar. Esta problematización dialoga y se fundamenta en la perspectiva de estudiar la teoría de las Representaciones Sociales. En el caso del estudio aquí realizado, abordamos que las representaciones os significados sociales atribuidos a un determinado objeto por un determinado grupo de sujetos expresan tanto la información que circula sobre ese objeto, las condiciones para filtrar esta información, las experiencias relacionadas con el grupo, las condiciones sociales y los aspectos culturales de este grupo y sus relaciones con aquellos cercanos o lejanos a ellos. Así, retratan fielmente realidades de acuerdo con los valores y normas de determinados grupos, expresando las contradicciones y compresiones de sus pares. Para lograrlo, se adoptó un enfoque multimetodológico, combinando observación, entrevista, prueba de memoria de palabras libres y prueba de núcleo central. Como resultado, los profesores reconocen el fracaso académico de sus alumnos y proyectan la responsabilidad sobre la familia.]]></p></abstract>
