COSTA, Thiago Augusto Pestana da y ZANOTELLO, Marcelo. Teacher training through africanities: praxis of an anti-racist education. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2026, vol.31, e310044. Epub 20-Abr-2026. ISSN 1809-449X. https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782026310044.
This article is part of a reflection on teacher education through Africanities and its implications for the scope of anti-racist education in the country. We believe that the use of Africanities is fundamental to ensure an inclusive, egalitarian and anti-racist education. To this end, Black theoretical references were chosen that corroborate our methodology, which consists of Black Discourse Analysis, that is, a subversion of hegemonic discourses that favors and highlights the contributions of black academic research. In the end, we hope to soon have teachers engaged in anti-racist praxis and who can build, in the field of education, a space of equality, representativeness and empowerment for girls and boys in school education.
