The aim of this text is to theoretically problematize how the deviant school experiences of young people can and are being constituted as an aspect of suicidal “risk”. With the intention of further complexifying the readings on self-inflicted death, this article draws on post-structuralist and queer productions, especially those carried out in the educational field. It questions how the schooling experiences of cis-heterodissident youth can relate to the social production of abjection and with suicide. Limits are pointed out regarding the categories of suicidal “risk” mobilized by a portion of scientific productions. Finally, it is suggested that this debate should be pursued through other ways of conceiving knowledge and language, particularly through research in Education.
