Abstract

The objective was to analyze the scientific production on History of Education published by Brazilian researchers indexed on the Web of Science database from 2008 to 2022. A bibliometric study was developed, which analyzed 229 products. The VOSviewer program anchored the data processing and analysis. Until 2016, production was quite small, with 1 to 4 articles per year. As of 2017, it became more expressive, with 31 to 54. The production emerged from 373 authors and there was co-authorship with 12 countries. The theme covered multiple categories related to the History of Education, with emphasis on the preservation of historiographical sources. It is concluded that it is important to expand the Brazilian scientific production in the History of Education internationally and the strengthening of collaborative networks can be a promising strategy.
