This article, which brings the clipping of two researches in the educational field, intends to problematize the contemporary school curriculum, guided by a business logic and crossed by conservative movements, to answer the question “what curriculum do we need in times of fractured democracy, subtraction of social rights and health crisis?” To this end, it analyzes the curriculum of a public school for Youth and Adult Education in the city of Porto Alegre, whose practices allow us to look at other modes of existence and other possible worlds. As a theoretical-methodological tool, Foucault's concepts are used to analyze the documents of the researched institution. It concludes that the analyzed curriculum constitutes an important device of (re)existence in times of individualism, fragmentation and intolerance.
