The results of innumerous epidemiologic studies reveal that many of the transmissible and non-transmissible diseases are frequently related to people’s lifestyle. It is known that behaviours are related to biologic, psychological, micro and macro-social and environmental factors. One of the most promising ways to promote the adoption of healthy behaviours and the changing of conducts harmful to health and in a sustained manner is Health Education. In this article we will try to justify the need of Health Education at school, the ways to implement it and the characterization of Health Promoting Schools.
