The article aims to analyze the Plan of Positions, Career and Remuneration of Public Teaching Professionals (PCCR, in Portuguese) in the city of Cametá/Pará, as well as to present the vision of the professionals covered by this law regarding the aspects contained in the PCCR, with a view to identifying whether the legal determinations are effectively complied with. Based on a review of PCCR No. 212/2012, it was concluded that although the PCCR sets out teachers' careers and salaries in harmony with the legal guidelines on valuing teachers, the teachers' reports show that these will only be effective, in fact, when they feel the real benefits in practice, objectively and subjectively.
