The Colombian University is a microcosm of society, its reforms and changes are seen in the mirror of the socio-political and economic context to which it belongs and the demands that it makes. This text reflects on the role that society has required from its creation to assume the challenge of transformation, the changes and crises that arose during the twentieth century, and we propose particu larly for Colombia today, a university based on citizen education with tools to strengthen democracy in the socio-political transition of the post-agreement.
