Founded in 1971, Cadernos de Pesquisa is a journal of the Fundação Carlos Chagas (FCC – São Paulo, Brazil) that aims to disseminate academic output related to education. It is focused on social inequalities and publishes studies with an interdisciplinary approach to issues regarding gender, ethnic-racial relations, childhood, youth, school, work, family, and public policies. The journal welcomes unpublished manuscripts with various perspectives, primarily empirical, historical, or documental research. It accepts essays, interviews, experiment reports, and book reviews. The journal is known for its relevance in researchers' development. It uses the following evaluation criteria: social relevance, theoretical and methodological contributions, and innovative nature of studies. As of 2021, it operates under a continuous publishing model, organized into the following sections:
The journal publishes texts in Portuguese and Spanish on FCC Publication´s Portal and in various indexing databases. Articles accepted in other languages must be translated into Portuguese. Accepted articles may also be published in the English version. Cadernos de Pesquisa has no article processing charges (APC), but translation costs are accounted to the authors. Access to the online version is open and free. The abbreviated title of the journal is Cad. Pesqui., which should be used in footnotes and bibliographic references. Cadernos de Pesquisa is ranked A1 in Education by the Capes’ Qualis index. |
