The Brazilian Journal of Medical Education is the entity for scientific diffusion of the Brazilian Association of Medical Education. Its mission is to be a prominent journal in the field of medical education and publish high quality material about relevant themes and perspectives in this area. Its first edition was published in August 1977. It is currently published in continuous flow and only in the online version.

Its abbreviated title is Rev. bras. educ. med., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, bibliographic references and strips.

The online journal is open access and free.
