ABOUT THE JOURNAL

 

Focus and scope


Ridphe_R, Ibero-American Journal of Historical-Educational Heritage, is a continuous online publication of the Faculty of Education / UNICAMP and organized within the framework of the themes of the Ibero-American Network for Research and the Dissemination of Historical Educational Patrimony - RIDPHE, with headquarters. in the room of CIVILIS / FE / UNICAMP, to which it articulates.
 The Journal publishes articles resulting from research or academic reflection, analytical studies, reviews, interviews, submitted by researchers dealing with the theme of Historical-Educational and Cultural Patrimony.
The journal, as a vehicle for recording and disseminating science, aims to deepen the discussion on methodological aspects for the study of documentation of historical educational / cultural collections and to debate the challenges of preserving this historical-educational and cultural patrimony, providing the exchange of information among researchers from different nationalities who study the school and related cultural institutions, from their culture and materiality, seeking to grasp it historically. It also aims to contribute to the elaboration of proposals for preservation and diffusion of collections that may subsidize public policies for the preservation of sources.

Peer review process


All texts will be submitted to the journal's Editorial Team, which will decide on the timeliness of publication of contributions received. In the analysis for the acceptance of a text the following criteria will be observed:
- Adequacy to the scope of the journal
- Scientific quality;
- Compliance with the present rules for publication.
After the preliminary formal review, the editorial board forward the work to the autonomous judgment of at least two reviewers (“double blind” method), whose areas of competence and academic background are related to the theme of the text. . If there is disagreement between the referees, the work should be sent to a third reviewer.  At the end of the process, the authors receive communication regarding the opinions issued, ensuring the confidentiality of the reviewers.


 

Frequency


Semester of vol. 1 to vol. 4. From vol. 5 (2019) RIDPHE_R adopts the Continuous Publishing system.


 

Open access policy


This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public free of charge provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.


 

Fees for submission and publication of texts


The RIDPHE_R Iberoamerican Journal of Historical-Educational Patrimony does not charge any fees for published texts, nor for texts submitted for evaluation, review, publication, distribution or download. Publishing is completely free.


Research ethics statement and best practices


The RIDPHE_R Ibero-American Journal of Historical-Educational Patrimony is dedicated to complying with good practices regarding moral conduct consistent with the scientific publishing of journals. Preventing neglect is also a crucial responsibility of the editor and editorial staff: any form of unethical behavior, as well as plagiarism in any instance, is not accepted in the journal. Authors who submit articles to the RIDPHE_R Iberoamerican Journal of Historical and Educational Patrimony declare that its content is original and warrant that the work has not been published or is under review / evaluation in any other journal.

Scope: RIDPHE_R, Ibero-American Journal of Historical-Educational Patrimony is a continuous online publication of the Faculty of Education / UNICAMP. The journal is organized under the themes of RIDPHE, Ibero-American Network for Research and the Dissemination of Historical Educational Heritage, based in FE / UNICAMP / Brazil, in the CIVILIS Room, Group of Studies and Research in History of Education, School Culture and Citizenship, to which it articulates. The Ridphe_l mailing list, managed and moderated in UNICAMP's space, brings together researchers concerned with the preservation, investigation and dissemination of the historical-educational and cultural patrimony.
