ABOUT THE JOURNAL

 

Focus and Scope


Serie-Estudos Journal (Revista Série-Estudos), a quarterly publication, publishes scientific articles related to the education field produced by Brazilian and foreign authors. You may submit articles in both Portuguese and foreign languages. The Journal’s mission is to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the area of education. Articles can be submitted either as a continuous demand or as a dossier. All articles are evaluated by two ad hoc consultants.

Peer Review Evaluation Process


Articles are submitted to a first analysis by the Journal’s Editorial Board. The board will submit to the reviewers (at least, two reviewers) the articles attending its editorial policies, and, during a double-blind review process, it will omit the author’s and reviewers’ identity. Reviewers are all Ph.Ds. experienced in the area of the articles under evaluation.

It is up to the reviewers recommend the publication of a given article, turn down or ask a second version it. In the case of a rewrite, articles will be resent to reviewers for a final evaluation. Having two favorable opinions, the article will be forwarded to the Editorial Board to ad referendum and communicate the author. In the case of opposing opinions, the article will be sent to a third reviewer. With this third evaluation, it might have two favorable opinions (the article will be approved) or two unfavorable evaluations (the article will not be approved).


 

Publication Frequency


From 2016 on Serie-Estudos Journal is a quarterly publication, being issued on April, August, and December.

 

Open Access Policy


This journal offers immediate open access to its content, following the idea that making scientific knowledge freely available to readers promotes greater world democratization of knowledge.
