This study attempts to analyze the representations of teachers of Mathematics on the teaching and evaluation of this subject. It discusses theoretically the shortcomings and possibilities of the evaluation of learning of the difficulties that permeat teaching and evaluating Mathematics as well as emergent propositions of studies done by researches who look for the overcoming of these difficulties. In the final considerations there are suggestions for teachers of Mathematics.
