Abstract

SANTANA, Jeová Silva. Teacher´s (de)formation in the literature. Rev. Bras. Hist. Educ [online]. 2016, vol.16, n.3, pp.225-245. ISSN 2238-0094.  https://doi.org/10.4025/rbhe.v16i3.757.

A brief overview on teacher´s formation is provided, based on specialized literature as support and as an analytical object. Texts written by relevant authors in Brazilian literature, such as Machado de Assis, Manuel Antonio de Almeida, Manuel Bandeira, José Américo de Almeida, Jorge Amado and Graciliano Ramos, were selected. The collection´s two textual categories comprise fiction in the first two authors and autobiography in the others. Since the role of the teaching professionalism emblematic within capitalist society, current theoretical framework was foregrounded on certain principles by Theodor W. Adorno. Current analysis is a section of a thesis defended at the Department of Education of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, on February 2011.
