Abstract

GRACIANO, Marília; SILVA, Rose Neubauer da; GUARIDO, Elza L.  and  MONTORO, Gilda. Children's social perception: development of research methodology. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1976, n.18, pp.21-30. ISSN 0100-1574.

A pilot study was conducted to investigate construct validity of various instruments designed to measure children's perception of their family models (parents and sibilings) and self-concept, on dimensions like: social power, nurturance, activity and evaluation. The article presents the results of the study, analysing the type of information that can be obtained with each instrument. Results indicate some significant tendencies on children's perception, which should be explored in future studies.
