Abstract

The Article reconstructs the discussions concerning the “PROVÃO” and the “ENADE” made known in the electronic publication of SBPC, the JC email. This paper has for objective to locate similarities and differences in the texts published by JC e-mail concerning the development and implementation of the two examinations in question. It was concluded that in the period decreased significantly the criticism to the accomplishment of national examinations and it was built up a consensus that this type of examination is relevant to the assessment of higher education and is a determining factor in order to compare the performance of the Public Institutions with that of the Private Institutions.
