In this research, we investigated the ideological tendencies of undergraduate courses of distance education in Physical Education in the state of Goiás, with historical-dialectical materialism as a guiding methodological principle. For data collection, the techniques of bibliographic, documentary and semi-structured interview were used. As a conclusion, it was realized that training in private HEI is primarily focused on employability, and the public HEI, by precarious teaching performance, among other structural issues, perceived that the UAB policy, hinders a formative action more emancipatory. Therefore, the problem is not the distance modality itself, but the fact that under the domain of capital, ODL becomes a very lucrative business, compromising the quality of education.
