The article aims to analyze the bonus policy of Acre’s state public magisterium, instituted by the Valorization and Professional Development Awards (VDP) and Management Development Awards (VDG) and its implementation in the context of educational reforms carried out in Acre from 1999 to 2018. Its study’s object are the reforms of the state apparatus designed and executed from the perspective of a managerial State and which, in case of the education, acquired materiality in the policies of decentralization, evaluation, accountability and teaching bonus. This is a bibliographic review study on bonus policy, based on the analyses of Afonso (2007; 2012; 2013), Ball (2001; 2002; 2004; 2006; 2007; 2009; 2011), Barroso (2005), Braidi (2018), Cardoso (2019), Lagares; Nardi (2020), Morduchowicz (2017), Passone (2014), Santos et al. (2012) and Silva (2019), and documentary research, such as the Decrees 4,923/2009 and 4,924/2009 and Law No. 67/2009. This policy was analyzed from the perspective of the policy circle methodological approach, contemplating three moments: the formulation, implementation and evaluation of the policy. It was identified that, in the policies of bonus implemented there is prevalence of managerial aspects to the detriment of those of pedagogical nature and professional valorization, mixed by the idea of accountability /accountability,which functioned as guiding elements of the definition of public educational policies, thus ensuring the State, greater control of the mechanisms of regulation, determining factors for the incorporation of the neoliberal discourse of quality.
