Abstract

CUNHA, Maria Isabel da  and  PINTO, Marialva Moog. Qualidade e educação superior no Brasil e o desafio da inclusão social na perspectiva epistemológica e ética. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2009, vol.90, n.226, pp.571-591. ISSN 2176-6681.

This paper discusses issues related to higher education, including the challenges of defining criteria for quality in the Brazilian educational context. Popular demand for educational opportunities has kicked off movements and changes in all educational levels. If the increasing of enrollments is due to an important political action in favor of inclusion, the same happens with the need to review traditional pedagogical practices, for they have valorous and ideological conceptions in the educational field. Due to the emergency of provoking innovation, we understand that it represents a rupture with the traditional way of teaching and learning; it involves participative administration, the reconfiguration of expertise, and the reorganization of the relationship between theory and practice, incorporating the dimension of process that would put on evidence the dimension of quality in higher education.

Keywords : Higher Education; Pedagogical Practices; Innovation.
