Abstract

ROMERO, Raúl Rocha. Post-pandemic, social interaction and psychosocial effects in the population of a globalized world. Educação. Santa Maria [online]. 2023, vol.48, e85168.  Epub June 11, 2025. ISSN 1984-6444.  https://doi.org/10.5902/1984644485168.

This text states that the Covid-19 pandemic mainly affected social interactions between people and that this had serious consequences that are being expressed in the post-pandemic. A series of considerations on the pandemic that has taken place in this globalized world are presented, and the analysis that is carried out considers some of the most important areas of social life, such as political, economic, educational, and family and personal life. Likewise, three axes are included in the analysis: the institutional, the one related to the social processes and the one of the results of both the structure and the social processes. In all of this, psychosocial processes stand out, that is, people's cognitions and emotions, and their behavior, which have been directly affected by the pandemic. In conclusion, it is pointed out that, in order to face the impacts of the pandemic, it is necessary to promote more positive social interactions, which are permeated by empathetic and cooperative behaviors and, in this way, protect people's physical and mental health.

Keywords : pandemic; Social interaction; psychosocial processes.
