The aim of this research is to raise difficulties from 25 teachers of the initial series of the Fundamental Teaching who attended a Continued Formation course in 2007, regarding the reading practices and writing, as well as identifying the linguistic knowledge that those educators need to study more. Written productions were used, systematized starting from the history of the participants’ life and oral interview. The results revealed that the teachers have difficulty to work with different learning conditions and with certain school contents of the Portuguese Language.
