MENDONCA, Érika de Sousa; GOMINHO FILHO, Amilson de Carvalho y MELO, Ana Letícia Cordeiro de. Inclusion of black people and Afro-diasporic knowledge in Brazilian Universities: epistemic diversity as a strategy. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2022, vol.17, e19393. Epub 27-Ago-2022. The article discusses how the diversification in the profile of newcomers to Brazilian Universities has provoked political tensions about raciality, as well as, in dialogue with Afro-diasporic and decolonial authors, reflect about the epistemological bases that remain privileged in the production of knowledge in these spaces. It was observed, from an integrative literature review, that racial inclusion, promoted mainly by affirmative action policies, is not accompanied by structural reforms, from an epistemic, pedagogical and methodological point of view, that embrace the ontology of a black student, with the inclusion of Afro Diasporic knowledge and expressions. In this way, the University was also considered as a dislodging space for these existences, but it may shelter black insurgencies, as well as ventilate possibilities to encourage a truly emancipatory and representative intellectual activity.
