TORRES, Thais Priscila de Souza. LESBIAN TRAJECTORIES BETWESS (RE)INVENTIONS OF SILENCE IN EDUCATION [FAMILY-SCHOOL]. Revista Teias [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.68, pp.104-122. Epub 13-Feb-2023. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2022.51937.
This article looks into lesbian narratives shared through semi-structured interviews conducted with six young people between 18 and 20 years old, living in the metropolitan region of Recife. They narrate themselves, expose fears and bravery, from lenses forged by everything that traverse them: the experiences of school and family spaces. Thereby, it was possible to identify and comprehend the heterosexualizing devices and their effects on lesbian subjectivation. Dynamic and open, the devices enable an ambivalent narrative of spaces, where the imposition of the norm can be contradicted. Summing up: heteronormativity (cis) is a successful project only if applied to bodies that are willing to correspond to it. This said, facing the threat of a cis-heterosexual familiar model, physic death and family-school merger attempt, the lesbians choose, yet the school as a space for living, circumventing norms, plotting resistance.
