MARTINEZ, Juan Miguel Martínez e SANCHO, Antonio Tudela. TECHNOLOGIES IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: A POLITICAL ANALYSIS OF DISCOURSE. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 2021, vol.51, e07287. Epub 13-Out-2021. ISSN 1980-5314. https://doi.org/10.1590/198053147287.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are an essential part of the educational discourse of institutions such as OECD and Unesco. Research on the issue has not been thorough in examining the ideological mechanisms at work behind these educational discourses about technology. Therefore, the objective of the article is to analyze in a discursive way the arguments used in educational policy texts from supranational organizations (OECD and Unesco) that support the implementation of ICT in education. We performed a documental analysis, adopting the methodological approach of Political Discourse Analysis (PDA). The results show how the discourses about ICT in the documents of both institutions are part of a vision of education that needs to be adapted to the demands of neoliberal societies and economies.
