MACHADO, Kheronn Khennedy e DUTRA, Alessandra. Development of Computational Thinking: from the recommended by the BNCC to the training of basic education teachers. Rev. Diálogo Educ. The application of Computational Thinking (CP) can enable the development of numerous skills in Basic Education students, such as promoting logical reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, among others. In 2022, with the implementation of the new High School, the State Department of Public Education of the State of Paraná brought, among the new components for the school curriculum, the Computational Thinking component. In view of this, the following research question was established: “are the teachers of the public network in the state of Paraná-PR, more specifically, in the northwest region, prepared to use the assumptions and guidelines of the PC to high school students? To answer this question, the types of bibliographic, experimental and analytical research were used, with the application of a data collection instrument to teachers who will teach or are interested in teaching the PC component. The results showed a partial view of the concept, potential and applications that the PC has for teaching content from the various scientific subjects of the curriculum, which demonstrates the need for teacher training.
