LANDOWSKI, Eric. Para uma semiótica sensível. Educ. Real. [online]. 2005, vol.30, n.02, pp.93-106. ISSN 0100-3143.

A reflection on the status of meaning in aesthetic experience leads to a rejection of the conception inherited from tradition, which involves an opposition between sensation and cognition. In the field of semiotics, the attempt to overcome this dualistic vision does not entail the invention of a new problematics “of the sensitive”, opposed to that of “the intelligible”, but rather, requires an effort to make semiotics itself more sensitive. Therefore, the paths opened by the last work of A.J.Greimas, On Imperfection, are explored. The conception of the aesthetic experience as a providential and ephemeral encounter is counterposed to the idea of an experience of learning the aesthesic meaning of objects through gradual adjustment to the sensitive qualities of the elements with which the subject interacts, be they works of art, other subjects, or more ordinary things that constitute the environment of everyday life.
