Abstract

FERREIRA, Eliza Bartolozzi  and  OLIVEIRA, Edna Castro. Between the social inclusion and the curriculum integration: PROEJA´s political and epistemological dilemmas. Educ. Real. [online]. 2010, vol.35, n.01, pp.87-108. ISSN 0100-3143.

This article aims to analyze the political context in which the PROEJA was elaborated. The recurring educational politics ruled by decades on the lights of the job market ethics and a development model subservient to the international interests, reinforce the duality of the school education and, at the same time, make it difficulty to reveal experiences that aim the integration of general and professional education. In relation to PROEJA´s epistemological dilemmas, the analysis intended to study integration as a category and the possibilities of organizing an integrated curriculum by mediation of teachers in process of formation in the confluence of the professional education and the youth and adult education (EJA). The experiences call our attention to the limit of multiple and heterogeneous projects at educational systems that presents pedagogical and structural constraints, in a society that has not universalized the basic education yet.
