Abstract

KUPFER, Maria Cristina. The subject in psychoanalysis and in education: basis for a therapeutic education. Educ. Real. [online]. 2010, vol.35, n.01, pp.265-281. ISSN 0100-3143.

In this paper, we present the thesis in which the psychoanalytical concept of subject differs from those in the field of education but can be considered as a basis for a Therapeutic Education. The paper examines the concept of subject in Aristotle and in Modern Philosophy, and it investigates its meaning in Freud’s and in J. Lucan’s works. It exposes the psychoanalytical view of the children developmental problems and it presents the Therapeutic Education as a treatment and as an educational practice which is based on the concept of subject of the unconscious. Some examples of that practice are presented, with a special emphasis on teaching psychotic children how to write.

Keywords : Subject; Psychoanalysis; Education; Special Education; Therapeutic Education.
