Abstract

TOGNETTA, Luciene Regina Paulino  and  DAUD, Rafael Petta. Teacher Education and Overcoming of Bullying: a challenge to ethical conviviality in schools. Perspectiva [online]. 2018, vol.36, n.1, pp.370-385. ISSN 2175-795X.  https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-795X.2018v36nlp370.

The objective of this theoretical study is to present the sine qua non condition of teacher education in the reduction of bullying-related problems in educational institutions. Teacher education has been treated in a superficial and naive way, considering that among specific problems of social coexistence - of which bullying is a main issue - public policies have been limited to defining it in booklets and awareness campaigns. It is thus imperative to discuss some data that confirm the need for teachers to adhere, in a more engaged manner, to moral values to strengthen their interventions so that they contribute to overcoming forms of violence such as bullying.
