Abstract

ZALUSKI, Jorge Luiz. Subjectivations of a teaching: Gender markings in school education (1970-1980). Rev. Educ. Questão [online]. 2020, vol.58, n.57, e-20985.  Epub Aug 12, 2021. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.21680/1981-1802.2020v58n57id20985.

This text is inserted in the studies of gender and the History of the Present Time. With the theoretical and methodological contributions of these fields, it seeks to reflect on the subjectivities constructed through the teaching process of the 1970s-1980s. As a case study, interviews with Liza, a student of the period, who attended the Ana Vanda Bassara School in Guarapuava, Paraná, were used as a source of analysis. This investigation allowed us to understand part of the student's school life, the construction of subjectivities, and to see how gender markings were used in the reaffirmation of an education that idealized women to be housewives according to the characteristics of the society of the time. The student's school career was marked by the distinction of gender that intersected with other markers, among them, the social condition. These factors contributed to the subjectivation of the student in face of the reconfiguration of the conceptions of femininity adjusted to the social context and the teaching model.
