School systems are, in general, complex and including structures, variables in the time and in the space. Great part of the relative studies to these systems analyses quantitative and economic aspects. This work, however it tries to incorporate in the analysis of nets school aspects of qualitative character of the schools. The study it refers the identification of characteristics of the schools of medium teaching that they allow an effective analysis of the merit of these schools, taking in consideration the students' point of view. The methodology maid for this identification and posterior analysis, it is based on techniques of stated preference. A function of relative utility is introduced with the objective of establishing a classification of the analyzed schools. The obtained results are showed reliable and significant statistics, allowing that come suggestions of viable strategies for the improvement of the system in study.
