The Pedagogy Course, historical/y responsible for the education of the professionals of education, among them he teachers, faces, since the second semester of 1999, a crises burst by many factors, emphasizing the questioning about its competence in the basic education teachers education, allied to the regulation of the High Institutes of Education, that were proposed to be instances of the education of all levels teachers. In this paper, the author proposes a reflection about the Pedagogy Course, focusing it on three angles, from the place she is as an agent of the Educational Policy: Pedagogue, Pedagogy Course Teacher and Member of the Verifying Committees, indicated by SESu/MEC. Beginning in the analysis of the 60's education, before the Advice 252/69, she questions the actual proposals.
