This paper focuses parental right to participate in schools daily life according to different conceptions of the school as a social organization. The school is viewed as a "caring place" promoting citizenship and confidence as a means to reinforce the natural right of parents to participate. This paper concludes that the school governance should be inspired in care ethics which means care for the others, the social environment and personal relationships.
