Public universities lost relevance in the recent expansion of the higher level education in Law. Empirical evidence in built from data on "Provão", the analysis of the offer conditions, graduate courses in Low and the OAB certification. Finally, the author describes some positive experiences that might indicate alternatives to the present difficulties.
