Abstract

The objective of this work is to pit itself against a certain wondering discourse in relation to hypertext. It tries to show that part of that optimism is produced by misunderstood analysis of “traditional” texts and their stands. It tries to show that the most positive effect of theories on the hypertext is to put on evidence that traditional texts are less linear and less dependent of author than can be supposed in this pitting.
