Abstract

This article aims to socialize a new dimension in the Indigenous Educational Field. It may be considered “new” because based on the current living conditions of contemporary societies, it is necessary to reaffirm the indigenous ethnic and cultural identity through a specific educational model showing that there are other possible ways to understand and value human existence and, from this point of view, conceptualize the struggle of the indigenous movement in order to make effective the public policies related to indigenous school education.
