Abstract

KNIJNIK, Gelsa. New forms of social exclusion: Work, knowledge and education. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 1997, n.04, pp.35-42. ISSN 1413-2478.

The exclusion produced by knowledge is analyzed among other new forms of social exclusion. The social effects produced by accumulated knowledge present in the school curriculum is examined. This analysis is very firmly established in the author's personal experience as a mathematics educator, especially in the advisory work rendered to the Educational Sector of the Movement of the Landless Rural Workers of Rio Grande do Sul.
