Abstract

VALE, Flávia Janiaski  and  VISSICCHIO, Thacio Fagundes. ART CLASSES IN RONDONÓPOLIS: A DIALOGIC CONSTRUCTION ABOUT TEACHING ART IN SCHOOL. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.28, e280096.  Epub Oct 09, 2023. ISSN 1809-449X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782023280096.

This work, which discusses and problematizes the teaching of art in basic education in the state of Mato Grosso, particularly in the city of Rondonópolis, aims to analyze how the teachers work with art in their teaching practices. Using online questionnaires, art teachers from the state education system — both permanent and substitute — were heard, who brought up their practical experiences with the aim of creating a reflective debate and seeking possible ways to teach this important curricular component. To do that, we decided to raise these questions: is it possible for the teacher to build a pedagogical practice that involves the construction of a teaching-learning process in art? What is the view of these professionals in the practice of polyvalence? The analyzed questionnaires allowed a deep look at how the dismantling of education and the current political situation do not favor the teaching of the arts, calling for resistance through fights and dialogues.

Keywords : art education; art teaching; school.
